Catch up with K Interiors
I’ve been so busy I haven’t blogged for a while, so my return from holiday seems like the perfect opportunity to get back into the rhythm. I thought I’d start with a bit of a catch up to let you in on some of the exciting things that have been going on at K Interiors during the first half of this year.
Since I last wrote I’ve been…
…giving K Interiors a new look
Like homes, websites and business comms need a makeover from time to time. That’s why earlier this year I refreshed my logo, had some new photos taken and changed up my website so it better reflects the interior design services I currently offer to my clients.
I especially love these before and after gizmos – a brilliantly interactive way for you to see exactly the kind of thing you can expect if you choose to work with me.
What do you think of the new look?
…refreshing my social media channels
I love sharing information, tips and reveals on my social media pages – especially on Instagram, and I’m enjoying playing with Instagram Stories and the other new features available.
…appearing on DIY SOS
Back in March of this year I had the amazing opportunity to work with Sophie Robinson, Nick Knowles and the rest of the DIY SOS team as they worked to transform a home in Weston-Super-Mare for a deserving family of four. It was such a wonderful experience and made me truly appreciate how lucky I am. What’s more, fellow colour-lover Sophie Robinson is a bit of a style idol of mine, so the chance to meet her and see her working up close was inspirational.
I left with plenty of ideas to start putting into practice in my designs – and I even attended Sophie’s ‘Ban the Beige’ workshop a couple of months later. Because as far as I’m concerned you should never stop learning and you can never have too much colour!
Unfortunately, the episode of DIY SOS won’t air until 2020 so you’ll have to wait until then to see what we got up to.
…winning an award
In April I was thrilled to find out that K Interiors had won the award for Best Solo Interior Stylist – South West England in the 2019 Build Home & Gardens Awards.
Accepting the award made me feel proud of all the hard work I’ve been putting in to ensure K Interiors continue to thrive and grow and help more and more people achieve the home the always dreamed of but never thought they’d have.
Here’s to the future!
…getting my name out there
Did you notice a certain familiar face in the June edition of Bristol Life magazine? I took part in a short Q&A in a Meet the Interior Designer feature.
And you’ll also find me popping up in the new edition of the North Somerset Planning Handbook – an opportunity too good to miss.
…setting up a new newsletter
Fancy receiving tips and advice from a talented, colour-loving interior designer? Sign up at the bottom of this page and you’ll find me sliding into your inbox every so often. Not too often I promise…and NEVER any spam.
If you have any specific questions or challenges in your own interior design project, why not get in touch via social media or email? I’m always happy to help – and might even include my answers in a subsequent blog or newsletter so they’ll benefit others too.
